The IONIQ 5 was among the best-selling EVs in the US in 2025 behind the Tesla Model Y, Model 3, Chevy Equinox EV, and Mustang Mach-E. With affordable prices and some of the lowest lease rates among any EV in the US, Hyundai looks to keep the momentum going in 2026.

And it’s not just in the US that Hyundai is cutting EV prices. In Australia, Hyundai slashed prices on some of its electric models by up to nearly AUD $14,000, or about $9,400 US dollars.

In its home market of South Korea, Hyundai launched an “EV Early Bird” promo a few days ago, offering up to 1 million won ($700) for those that that take delivery of an IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, or IONIQ 9 by March.
