Geely has launched a new incentive to help it kickstart sales in 2026 as part of the “Factory Bonus offer” it’s delivering in January 2026. This time, it is a $2,500 cashback with every model of the EX5 it sells.
On the company’s website, it says: “Delivers smooth electric performance with safety and comfort you can trust. Limited Time $2,500 Factory Bonus”.
This offer is eligible to customers who purchase a new or demonstrator MY25 or MY26 Geely EX5 from a Geely Dealer between 1 January 2026 and 31 January 2026 and take delivery by the end of the month.

The bonus will be applied as a deduction to the driveaway price of the car, making it a better option for some buyers rather than the cashback offers often seen in the market.
Geely entered Australia with the EX5 SUV back in March 2025, with starting prices of $40,990 for the entry-level Complete variant, while top-spec Inspire variant started at $44,990 before on-road costs.
The EX5 SUV have sold almost 4,000 cars over the last 10 months, making it one of the most popular EVs in the market in 2025 and landing it in the top-5 best-selling EVs in the market during the year. But as the competition in the affordable EV segments is on the rise, the level of incentives for drivers looking to buy an EV to keep the sales momentum going is expected to remain high, with Hyundai offering big discounts, as well as MG.
Geely has previously had multiple offers to help incentivise buyers, from free charging to a cashback offer of thousands of dollars on every sale, which has helped the brand keep its sales levels relatively high.
The EX5 in particular comes with a 60 kWh battery pack that can deliver 430 km of WLTP range.

Charging this pack from 30-80% will take around 20 minutes, thanks to a 100 kW peak DC charging speed and 11 kW AC charging.
There is also vehicle-to-load (V2L) available with a discharge rate of up to 3.3 kW, which is well received by many owners who want to power devices off the car’s battery pack.
Given the company has been selling cars in Australia for less than a year, it has grown its dealership network quite quickly. It now has over 43 dealers across the country, almost doubling its dealership count since launch.
In December 2025, Geely Australia announced that it would be bringing in a small electric hatch called the EX2 to compete with the BYD Dolphin. It’s expected to land in the second half of this year, adding more choices in the affordable hatch segment than ever before.
