Xpeng, one of the recent Chinese brands to enter Australia, has now cut prices on the deposit of the G6 SUV to $99 from $1,000 after announcing in August that it was expecting to bring a thousand units of its G6 SUV per month to meet growing demand, according to its local distributor, TrueEV.

In the latest email, received by subscribers to the brand, Xpeng says: “Stock is now available for the all-electric Xpeng G6 – Australia’s most advanced EV SUV. Place your order deposit for just $99 (previously $1,000) and secure your G6 today.”

This brings the deposit amount under what many dealers take, which hovers around $1,000 for most car purchases.

Although Xpeng has not reported its sales locally, the local distributor had previously hinted that thousands of Xpeng vehicles are already on Australian roads, so this latest incentive should help boost sales of the stocked G6 SUVs.

The G6 SUV is offered in two variants, starting from $54,800 before on-road costs, while the long-range variant is priced from $59,800 before on-road costs.

On both variants, the prices include metallic paints and 20-inch sports wheels, making it one of the most well-equipped standard vehicles on the market.

With current prices, the G6’s starting price is under Australia’s best-selling EV, the Tesla Model Y, making it a good option for those comparing mid-sized family SUVs.

In recent months, more cars in this segment have been launched, and a few more are yet to launch before the end of 2025.

Some of these launches include Deepal S07, Leapmotor C10, Geely EX5, Kia EV5, BYD Sealion 7 and more, further highlighting the growing demand for mid-sized electric SUVs in Australia.

Earlier this month, Xpeng also announced that it was offering 5-year complimentary servicing as part of a special offer to new customers, which is valued at $2,064.

Along with that, the brand also brought back a 10-year extended warranty offer, but this time, it was offered for $880 to customers, saving customers $4,100 over the recommended retail price.

The extended warranty and the 5-year free servicing offer had a combined value of over $6,100 for new customers.

With the latest drop in deposit amount for new owners and previously announced bonuses, it’ll likely encourage a few drivers to get behind the wheel of a new G6, ahead of what’s likely to be the updated G6 SUV arrival in the coming months.

We look forward to seeing more G6 SUVs on the road on the back of this latest incentive, ahead of other models from this globally fast-growing brand that are expected to arrive locally in 2026.
