Swedish electric car maker Polestar has announced pricing and specs of the 2026 version of its Polestar 2 sedan with upgrades seen on the inside and out, with faster charging speeds and more range – and without a change in current pricing.

The entry level single motor standard range, which starts at $62,400 before on-roads, features a new 70 kWh battery pack from CATL. This battery pack delivers up to 554 km of WLTP range, up from 546 km.

Along with that, the new battery adds faster charging speeds and now features up to 180 kW of DC charging, up from 135 kW. This means a 10-80% charge time of just 26 minutes, which would help with road trips.

In the long range, the single motor, dual motor and the performance variants are also offered with the larger battery. Their pricing are $66,400, $71,400 and $85,080 plus on roads, respectively.

Multiple add-on packs are also available as was the case with the previous model but with updates.

These are Climate, Pro, Performance and Plus packs and start at $1,500 before going up to $8,980 for the Performance pack. See full inclusions below.

A new exterior colour is also brought in with the new model which the company calls Dune. This will replace Jupiter which was offered in previous model years.
