Expected on-sale in Australia before the end of 2026,  it’s the version of the Model Y flagship built at Tesla’s Brandenburg factory in Germany that’s been revealed first globally.

It claims a 3.5 seconds 0-100km/h time – clipping 0.2 seconds off the old car – and an unchanged 250km/h top speed.

Tesla claims the new Model Y Performance can charge at up to 250kW and add 243km of range in 15 minutes.
