Chinese car maker Xpeng has announced new incentives to boost sales of its G6 electric SUV, including low cost finance and a significant cash back offer.
In September, the company lowered the deposit requirements from $1,000 to just $99, and now it is offering buyers to choose either a 2.88% finance offer or a $3,000 cashback.
The cashback offer can be used to either reduce the purchase price or a direct cashback, which is a different to the offer seen by other brands, which may restrict the incentive to be spent on accessories.
On top of that, 5 years or 100,000 km of free servicing will be provided to customers who place an order and take delivery by 30 November 2025.
Xpeng has not reported their Australian sales, but the company’s Australian distributor team has previously hinted that thousands of Xpeng vehicles are already on Australian roads.
The G6 SUV comes in two variants, starting from $54,800 before on-road costs while the long-range variant is priced from $59,800 before on-road costs – pitching it below that of Australia’s best-selling EV, the Tesla Model Y.
The BYD Sealion 7, which has been selling quite well in recent months, has a similar starting price to the G6 before this incentive. With the $3,000 cashback and servicing incentive, this model is looking quite attractive in the market.
In September, Xpeng announced that it was offering 5-year complimentary servicing as part of a special offer to new customers, which is valued at $2,064.
The latest servicing offer looks to be valued at a similar $2,064 which with the cashback offer appears to be over $5,000 in value.
These incentives should encourage more drivers to get behind the wheel of a new G6, ahead of what’s likely to be the updated G6 SUV arrival in the coming months.
More G6 SUVs on the road would mean greater brand recognition on the back of this latest incentive. That of course, is ahead of other models from this fast-growing tech-driven brand that are expected to arrive locally in 2026.
